Philippine Martial Arts class resume this coming Saturday, Oct 21st at 10:00am at the Knights of Columbus
Cultural Dance Classes on Sunday, Oct 22nd at the Knights of Columbus and class times are 1:30 to 3:00 for the children and this time only the girls will be practicing to learn the dance of Itik Itik. Teens and adults practice from 3:00 to 5:00pm. As always, be on time and wear an appropriate shoes.
Models please return the costumes on the  Sunday at the practice. You can also drop them off my house and just call me ahead of time. Dancers can keep their costumes for the New Year’s eve performance. If you are not planning on dancing for the New Year, you may return your costumes on Sunday.
Arrangements are being made for an  Appreciation Party for all participants and support staff of PASCO NATIN, details to follow
Election for the incoming 2007-2009 PASCO officers will be on Nov 4th, 9:30 am at the Knights of Columbus. The full slate of candidates will be announced by Romy Magalong, Chairman for Election.
Save the date for our Health Fair which will coincide with the general membership meeting. It will be on Dec 2nd from 9:00 to 2:00 am at the Knights of Columbus. Screenings for Cardiovascular Diseases, Diabetes, Asthma, Allergy and TB will be done. If you complete the full screening, a free flu shot will be available. If you are only interested in the flu shot without the screening, there is a fee of $18.00 fee. Part of the Cardiovascular Assessment is a complete Lipid Profile(Cholesterol) blood testing and this is also free of charge. It is recommended that you fast after midnight prior to the test for an accurate result. You can drink water so you will not be too dehydrated prior to your test. The program is funded by the Colorado Asian Health Education Program and PASCO and the Philippine Nurses Association will be providing the personnel support.
The PIOLO-SAM-RICA!!! October 28th @ 7PM, at Mission Hills Auditorium. Â See attached flyer. PASCO has tickets also if you are interested and we get 10% of our ticket sales.

Saturday, September 16th will be the Philippine Martial Arts Class from 10:00-12:00pm at the Knights of Columbus. Remember that if I do not have at least 10 students, we will be canceling this class. This is the last  deciding date for this class. So if you are interested, show up on Saturday. Fee is $5.00 per person for those who are not a member of the PASCO Dance Repertoire, a very nominal fee considering the quality of the instructions being offered by a very highly qualified martial arts instructor. It will be a great loss if we cannot keep Art Dacoscos from literally volunteering his time to share his talents with the community.
The Philippine Rondalla class instruction under the tutelage of a well known Rondalla teacher from the University of the Philippines and the University of Colorado, Miss Edna Culig will start on Sept 23rd also at the Knights of Columbus. It will also be from 10:00 to 12:00pm at the Knights of Columbus.
Tickets for the PASCO NATIN(Our PASCO) are now available from all PASCO officers or you can email me for tickets. $35.00 per person and it will be a fashion show, entertainment and Filipino foods. Invite your friends and family. Date is October 7th at the Paul Beck Center located at 800 Telluride, Aurora 80011

We welcome the arrival of Mateo Ponce Obana De La Paz. Congratulations to the proud parents Zhazha and Mike De La Paz and grandparents Flor and Boy Obana and to the big brother Nick.
We pray for the quick recovery from surgery of our hard working treasurer Nancy Castellanes.

International Festival this coming Saturday, Sept 16th at the Fletcher Plaza. Performances all day from different ethnic groups. PASCO performs at 1:00pm

Cultural Classes:
Philippine Martial Arts this coming Saturday at Knights of Columbus from 10:00-12:00pm with Art Dacoscos. Address for the Knights is 13645 E. Bayaud, Aurora CO 80012.   Fee is $5.00 per person, interested students please come on time. We need to know who will be attending this classes since it is too frustrating for our instructor to have planned the class and only a few people show up. For those that signed up for this class, let me know if you are still interested. We need to have at least 10 students to continue to offer this class
Philippine Rondalla Class- Informational meeting will be held on August 27th at 1:30 pm for those interested in joining the class. Venue for the meeting will be at the Ladies Auxiliary Room at the Knights of Columbus. Dance classes wil be conducted at the main room of the Knights while the meeting is going on. Come and meet Edna Culig, the instructor for this rondalla class. PASCO is very lucky to have Edna agree to devote her time in teaching this class. Edna is a well known rondalla instructor and a music professor at the University of the Philippines. She had traveled extensively in Asia and Europe to conduct seminars and training. Â She is now a doctoral student for music instruction at the University of Colorado in Boulder. I encourage music enthusiast to take advantage of this rare opportunity to learn with a great teacher.
Cultural Dance Class on August 27th will be at the Knights of Columbus main hall. Class times are the 1:30 to 3:00 for children and 3:00-5:00pm for teens and adults. I need to hear from the participants of the dance class their committeemen to participate for the proposed  spring show, Fiesta Filipinas. I need to hear from you either by email or by phone by the end of this month. If we do not have enough participants, there will be no show and it will be the end of our regular dance classes.
Save the date for PASCO’s only fund raising event will be a dinner/dance, fashion show which will be on Saturday, Oct 7th. Details to follow.
 The Boulder Asian festival will be this weekend August 19-20 at the Pear Street mall Courthouse Lawn. PASCO will be performing Sunday at 2:00pm

Dance Class Practice-August 13, 2006
Dance practice will be this coming Sunday, August 13th at the Exposition Recreation Center located at 10955 E. Exposition Avenue, Aurora, CO 80012.
Class times:
               1:30-3:00pm       Children
                   3:00-5:00pm       Teens and adults
There will be a meeting prior to the start of the 3:00 dance class, this is mostly for the teens and their parents and also for the parents of our children in the dance class. I request that you bring you personal calendar for next year since this meeting will be focused on the date for our cultural show which we now have postponed until early spring of next year. I expect your full attendance to this meeting.
